The starting point in Delivery Excellence: you prepare the financial statements clients actually receive — P&L, balance sheet, cash flow — and keep their books accurate month to month, with a Senior Associate and QC reviewing your work.
About AKRUA
AKRUA Consulting is a finance and accounting consultancy for startups and growing businesses — effectively their outsourced finance team. We've grown from 3 people in 2018 to over 70 today, working out of our office in Kemang, South Jakarta, with clients across F&B, retail, and services. That growth is why we restructured into two client-facing divisions: Client Engagement, which owns the client relationship, and Delivery Excellence, which owns the quality of what we produce. Each has defined levels with written criteria for moving between them, so what the next step requires is stated rather than guessed at. We're also building out an internal automation function to take more of the repetitive data processing off the team.
The Role
Junior Associate is where most people start in Delivery Excellence — it's the entry point for S1 graduates, and the next step for admins who have learned the process. You prepare the financial statements clients receive: profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow. Your work is reviewed by a Senior Associate and checked by QC before it goes anywhere, so the job is to be accurate and consistent, ask when you're unsure, and get quicker at it. After a year or two in the role — sooner with relevant experience — the next step is Senior Associate.
What You'll Do
- Prepare client financial statements — profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Process transaction data accurately for financial and tax reporting
- Keep client books current with timely system updates, including weekly book updates
- Maintain the 40-point checklist and tax equalization each month with correct balances
- Reconcile entries and prepare workpaper recaps ready for review
- Flag accounting or tax inconsistencies to consultants rather than working around them
What We're Looking For
- S1 in Accounting, Finance, or a related field — fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- This is a starting role, not a senior hire; up to around two years of experience
- Accuracy and consistency with numbers — your work is reviewed, but it should not need redoing
- Comfortable working in spreadsheets and cloud accounting software
- Willing to ask questions and act on feedback — you will be coached, not left to guess
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English
