You're the quality backbone behind every client deliverable — reviewing financial and tax reports before they go out, catching what's inconsistent or wrong, and coaching junior associates so the same issues don't repeat.
About AKRUA
AKRUA Consulting is a finance and accounting consultancy for startups and growing businesses — effectively their outsourced finance team. We've grown from 3 people in 2018 to over 70 today, working out of our office in Kemang, South Jakarta, with clients across F&B, retail, and services. That growth is why we restructured into two client-facing divisions: Client Engagement, which owns the client relationship, and Delivery Excellence, which owns the quality of what we produce. Each has defined levels with written criteria for moving between them, so what the next step requires is stated rather than guessed at. We're also building out an internal automation function to take more of the repetitive data processing off the team.
The Role
As a Senior Associate on our Delivery Excellence team, you make sure client deliverables meet both internal and regulatory standards. You review financial and tax reports before they go out, catch what's inconsistent or wrong, and coach junior associates so the same issues don't repeat. The work runs on structured checks — reconciliations, the 40-point checklist, tax equalization — and it sits alongside preparing the deliverables themselves, not instead of it. What leaves your team is what the client sees.
What You'll Do
- Review financial and tax reports for accuracy and completeness before client delivery
- Own the accuracy and consistency of data across client books
- Maintain structured review processes — reconciliations and the 40-point checklist — to catch issues early
- Keep the 40-point checklist and tax equalization updated monthly with correct balances
- Flag accounting or tax inconsistencies to consultants before they reach the client
- Provide technical coaching and feedback to junior associates
- Keep deliverables on schedule — timeliness is as much a part of quality as accuracy
What We're Looking For
- Relevant accounting/finance education — a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–3+ years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting
- Sharp attention to detail, and comfort owning quality control, not just production
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to less experienced team members
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English
